Optimistic people instinctively seek the silver lining in all circumstances.
They may even be accused of being a Pollyanna because they automatically look for the good first.
Optimistic people aren’t oblivious to reality, but they focus on what’s right about a situation instead of only on what’s wrong with it. Even if the only thing right about a situation is the opportunity to learn how to do it better the next time.
Ultimately, being optimistic is an attitude that makes optimists happy because they approach everything from the vantage point of possibilities instead of probabilities.
