PROUD
We feel proud when we achieve something that was challenging.
Experiences that make us feel proud vary from the physical to the emotional, to the practical. Think of things like running a marathon, handling a difficult situation with grace, doing a great work presentation, meeting a weight loss goal, or saving to buy our first home.
We usually feel proud when we made some type of sacrifice or overcame a fear to achieve a bigger personal goal—something that was very important to us.
We can also feel proud of the accomplishments of someone close to us. Think of this of it as borrowed happiness.
