HUNT FOR HAPPINESS WEEK 2017
The 17th Hunt for Happiness Week 2017 kicks off January 15 – 21, 2017. After the end-of-year holiday hoopla winds down sometimes we may need to hunt for a little happiness. Even Blue Monday, the Saddest Day of the Year, is January 16 this year.
This year we are focusing on your life, so our happy hunts will focus on activities that might be new to your routine — YAY!!! if you’re already doing them — to help spark your smile. If you like one or two of them maybe they’ll become part of your weekly or monthly routine.
We also have Hunt for Happiness activities for kids. Teachers can use them in the classroom, parents at home, and youth leaders in their programs. The activity links are listed below.
In 2006, we asked the governors of all 50 states for a Proclamation for our 5th Hunt for Happiness Week. How did your governor respond?
Possible activities aside from the daily hunts include:
- Use the #huntforhappiness hashtag when you post about your daily hunts
- Do the Types of Happiness Word Search. (Solution)
- Take the Happy Challenge
- Activities Just for Kids
Kindergarten – 2nd Grade
3rd – 5th Grade
6th – 8th Grade
Special thanks to Society members Cindy Fitzhugh and Theresa Sarin for contributing activity suggestions.
