We are excited to offer the Girl Scouts a Happiness Project Badge โ inspired by Alyssa, 9179 Troop Leader in Laredo, Texas.
Weโve set-up a special email list for Girl Scout Leaders to receive information thatโs scout specific. You will need to opt-in to this list and confirm that itโs OK for us to send you email. Be sure to check for the confirmation email in your SPAM folder if you donโt find it in your inbox within 10 minutes or so.
To earn the badge you can create your own Happiness Project.
Or, you can help the Society with our mission to recognize One Million Smile Starters โ those people that make us smile.
Smiles are important โ thatโs why we need to let the people who start our smiles know we appreciate them.
Itโs easy to participate in the Smile Starter Recognition project:
- Become a Smile Starter Award Presenter โ this will give you access to free award certificates and let us know how many Smile Starters your troop plans to recognize (if you exceed your goal you can let us know
)
)- Identify your smile starters with this downloadable worksheet.ย ย Remember strangers can start our smiles, too! ๐ So, consider going to community events, senior citizen centers, schools or volunteer events to share the awards.
- Make plans to print the certificates to hand out, or email them, or share them on social media. We also have Smile Starter Swag that you can purchase (so you donโt have to print certificates).
- Please share pics of your troops recognizing their Smile Starters with us and on social media so you can inspire other Smile Starters.
