Pamela Gail Johnson founded the
Society of Happy People in 1998.
The Society is grounded on Pamela’s four key
Practical Happiness Principles:
Pamela identified 31 Types of Happiness that are on the SOHP App Happiness Counter to make it easier to recognize moments of happiness.
Pamela also plans and organizes the Society of Happy People's annual happiness celebrations:
She's also a speaker, trainer, and author.
A few of her personal smile starters include her monthly book club, yoga, traveling and meeting new happy people.
Quite coincidentally, I shall be celebrating this month completing my next book “Happy no matter what”. Apart from writing, I shall also spend more time playing outdoors as spring slowly rolls in on my half of the planet 🙂
Shelley Stockwell here. I have been having a blast writing my latest book on Stockwell’s Joy Therapy. Why not write your own book on what makes you happy?

Happiness shared…is happiness doubled….
We are having healthy snacks and 15 minute chair massages for the staff and agents at our real estate office.
I shared this on Twitter…
Handing out compliments to random strangers…finding something positive about them and telling them about it. You should see the reactions I am getting!!! Nothing like making people smile…I feel great…and even better…so do they. You never know what kind of day those folks were having and how powerful one statement could make in someone’s day. Sharing in HAPPINESS HAPPENS…so glad to have found you. More people need to do this.
Awesome…hope you’ll participate in HappyThon 2012 on August 8th too…
This is so enjoyable! It is fun to try (on purpose) to make Everyone I meet smile. Of course it makes me feel good too. Even though, I will admit, at one point today my cheeks ached. Doesn’t that sound a little silly?
Well, if your going to hurt a little that’s not a bad place – LOL.
I will visit my favorite fast food restaurant once a week. At a time when no one else is in line–or they are not paying attention. I get my food, pay my bill with $7 extra. Tell the clerk, $5 is an anonymous discount for your next customer. $2 is a tip for you. This is a takeoff on a random act of kindness I once did. I was next in line behind a lady who wanted to pay with a credit card. The store usually took credit cards, but their machine was down. She went back to her car to get cash. I paid my bill and hers, then left the store before she returned. I think that made her happy.
Love this…kindness is one of the 31 Types of Happiness.
Post a YouTube video of a happy song on my Facebook page every day. It’s the 4th, but I didn’t know until today. First up: “Thank You for the Muisc,” by Abba 1974
Send me the link so I can share with the members 🙂
I will take the Happiness inventory and keep it close by to notice (and be grateful for ) the times I am experiencing a positive emotion.
