One of my favorite yearly traditions is to participate in the Society’s Happiness Challenge ~ writing down my happiest moment of the day. Personally, I like to hand write them in a journal before I go to sleep. At the end of the year, I get to have a quick glance at 365 of my happiest moments for that year. When I look back at some of these moments they seem small and insignificant, but on the day that they happened they were grand and made me smile. Actually it’s these smaller moments — an unexpected phone call with a friend, a card received, or finding a new favorite dish at a restaurant are often the things that I value the most when reading my list at the end of the year. The big moments are usually remembered, but some of the smaller but equally important moments seem to be dismissed.
My challenge to you is to keep a list of your happiest moment of the day. If you don’t want to write it with traditional pen and paper like I do then consider putting it in your phone on a list, writing it on a calendar, typing it on your computer or posting it on Facebook.

I love this idea Pamela Gail! I started something similar this year with my Gratitude Jar. As small miracles and unexpected blessings come my way, I jot them down and add them to the jar. At the end of the year I’ll be able to happily look back and fully appreciate my Good. Thanks. This was fun!
Love this! Going to start today! Kara
Love the idea of journaling our happy moments of the day…as a family we share this at dinner time but I think writing it out is an excellent idea as well! Thanks!
I would definitely do this. All those simple things always makes me happy, what more could it make me feel if I list down 365 of them! Wonderful post that leads to happiness.
This is an absolutely fantastic idea, Pamela Gail! Looking at all of those positive moments at the end of a year reinforces those moments…brilliant!!
Great idea to document happy moments. I’ll have to give it a try.
Love this idea!
This is a great idea!! Sometimes it is easy to forget the good things of our day and focus on the bad stuff.
Easy idea that will lead to profound realizations later on. Great suggestion!
What a great idea!! And LOVE the little book…keep my copy nearby at all times! 🙂
I started writing down my happiest moment of the day back in August. But I like the idea of going through it at the end of the year and writing my happiest moment of the year. Great idea! I will do it today!
This is a great idea Pamela. Logging happy thoughts on a daily basis can do wonders for transforming our mindsets.
