You may be thinking, “Do I need to be a member of the Society of Happy People to be happy or happier?” Of course not. Happiness is personal and being in the Society of Happy People won’t change your happiness – other than making you grin when you think about it … but I digress …

- You want to be part of a group that inspires, encourages and motivates you to remember what makes you smile
- You’re the happiest person you know

- Last and maybe the most fun reason, you want to tell your friends you’re a member of the Society of Happy People because it makes you smile—and maybe them too
Whatever your reason, when you become a member of the Society of Happy People, you’ll be part of a group of people who recognize, celebrate and make the world a happier place one person at a time.

So, from one almost always happy person to another, please accept my invitation to join the Society of Happy People today
I like being a part of SOHP because I consider myself to be a positive person. Years ago a Buddhist monk gave me a profound bit of guidance, He said, “Every day you have a choice. You can choose to be sad or you can choose to be happy. Just as when you are thirsty, you can choose to drink warm water or you can choose to drink cool water.” I enjoy connecting with other people who choose to “drink cool water”.Smiles 🙂 Nate - Vientiane, Lao P.D.R
Why do I like being a member of SOHP? Wow – so many reasons. I’m happy to find so many other happy people or people who are trying to be happy. You have created a little piece of magic in a world that needs magic so badly. I applaud your efforts and I love being a part of what you have created.
Through Facebook and your web site, I feel that I have come to know you and feel that we are friends, even though we have never met! 🙂
I write a weekly column and I wrote about SOHP. This is the link to that column:
I love being a member of the Society Of Happy People! I enjoy the newsletters, the social media posts, and look forward to Happiness Happens Month every year. It means a lot to me to be connected with so many people who are determined to find and create happiness every day! It’s a better world because of SOHP!Ferrell, Logan, UT
To me, SOHP is a ‘movement’ that is both inspirational and goes against the tide of negative news and articles that we are bombarded with on a daily basis. There is so much to be happy about, to be joyful and grateful for and SOHP celebrates that and all that is positive. It is often hard to find the ‘happy’ in our busy lives and SOHP is that gentle reminder that you are not alone, there are lots of other people who are like-minded and want to see a better world for all.
Thank you for leading the charge and never giving up – first thing I do each day is ready my daily happiness – it sets me up for the day ahead.Warmest regards from Robyn in Auckland, New Zealand
I love being a member of the Society of Happy People for many reasons. The biggest reason is that I love getting my daily dose of happiness! Our diet is so much more than what we put in our bodies – what we put in our hearts and minds is equally important if not more so. I love starting my day with vitamin P – Positivity!Dianne from Redlands, CA

There is an old adage that applies to my story of why I love the Secret Society of Happy People: “You cannot see what you are not looking for.” I believe whole-heartedly that what we focus on is what we see manifest in our lives.
The Secret Society of Happy People helped me define the different kinds of happiness that we humans can experience – 31 of them! – and that gives me plenty of ways to identify and celebrate my happy. It also keeps me on the lookout for manifesting happiness outside of myself and inspiring it in others. I actively look for ways to make people smile; I think it’s one of my superpowers.
Being aware of how you are feeling allows you the self-awareness to change a negative mental/emotional path into a positive one, and being mindful of how you show yourself to others helps build good relationships with our fellow people. And no matter how strong we are as individuals, we are all put on this Earth to interact with others and foster our own sense of belonging. In fact, this one instinct we carry is key to humanity’s survival.
What can you conclude from that? Happiness in those interactions with the people around you literally saves lives! Being able to find your happy is really that important. Thanks for all you do, Pamela! --Marissa
I love being a member of The Secret Society of Happy People for many reasons. I always find something in Happiness Happens Month to incorporate into my like for a little extra fun, like baking. We have been baking to share cookies at Homeless events in my neighborhood. I use the Hunt for Happiness Week challenges with my Kindness Club at school all year long to inspire the children. The newsletters always seem to give me something to use for my work week. I also love being apart of a group of people that enjoy being happy and spreading happiness throughout their daily lives.Thank you for all these wonderful opportunities you are truly inspiring! --Sherry Burbank.
