For some of you, we’re literally hours away from kicking-off HappyThon 2012 on Happiness Happens Day on Wednesday, August 8th. If you’re new to the Society, HappyThon is about sending five messages to your online networks from email to Facebook to Twitter to Pinterest to texts. If you want to participate, we have a HappyThon Ambassador Guide that you can request.
It’s Happiness Happens Month, so even if you can’t celebrate Wednesday, you can celebrate anytime during the month of August. Many of you have posted about how you’ll be celebrating…check it out if you need ideas.
Also, we have a new Amused Membership that subscribes you to our new newsletter and you’ll get a free 31 Types of Happiness 8 1/2 x 11 poster. If you’re getting this email, it’s because you subscribed to the blog which will have different information than the newsletter. For example, after Happiness Happens Day, we’ll start posting blogs about our updated 31 Types of Happiness. These blogs won’t be in the newsletter. The newsletter will have coupon codes for shopping, links to stories or more detailed member feedback than will be on the public blog. So you may want to be subscribed to one or both. Whatever makes you happy.
We have updated our original lapel pin Playful Membership to be a wristband wearing one. The wristbands just arrived on Friday. I must confess that although I thought the wristbands were cute, I’m a reluctant wearer. I don’t own any other wristbands. But to my surprise it really has reminded me that happiness happens even in the middle of the chaos of getting ready for Happiness Happens Month.
Costco Connection helped us kick-off the month with a nice story. The Canadian edition wants to include us but they need to speak with a couple of our Canadian members. Any volunteers?
