I am the head of the Wellness Committee at my work, Model Consulting Inc. For Happiness Happens Month we:
– dedicated our whole Aug newsletter to Happiness
– made mirrors for everyone to hang at their desk that say smile on it. (I must say they came out VERY good). these will be given out on the 8th
– we re did our bulletin board with simile faces and happy quotes.
– we will be sending out weekly happy quotes
– we will be doing the name tag suggestion from you later this month
– we will be holding our summer fling on Friday then letting everyone go early.
Lots of ideas, every one of them something employees can take home, too. Good show!
August has been the happiest month for me since I was born….IN AUGUST!!!! I will be 50 years old on the 18th, and my birthday party is on the 17th!!! I am also going to my hometown in PA to celebrate the 50th birthdays of my classmates at a wonderful event at a local establishment owned by one of my classmates!! I love my birthday, have always been one to tell you how many days until it gets here!! This year is no different, except for throwing my awesome Garfield birthday party!! Garfield the Cat has made me happy for the last 35 years!!! So this is how I get to celebrate Happiness Happens Month!!!! YAY!!!

I’m so excited to be participating as a Happiness Happens Ambassador. I work for Holiday Lanes in Bossier City, LA and we are having a HUGE Happiness Happens Celebration on Saturday, August 10. We will have lots going on that day. Live music, a sun telescope, Latin dance demonstrations, a photo booth, arts, crafts, balloons, bubbles, hula hoops, bowling, exotic animals, puppies for adoption, a blood drive and I just heard that maybe a dunking booth. It’s coming together and I can’t wait for it to begin!!

I am more excited about this upcoming month than I expected to be when I became an ambassador. Now that I have gone through the website at all the different ideas on spreading happiness I can’t wait to spread some happiness to all my friends and family. I have plans to post daily on Facebook some quotes, a question to encourage happy conversation and a daily challenge to all my contacts.
