Pick one of the three Day 1 Hunt for Happiness Week Activities to add an extra smile in your day (and of course you can do more than one if that makes you happy).
- Find and share on your social media sites and ours a local story about something positive going on in your community — or someone who makes your community a better place to live. Use the hashtag: #HuntforHappiness.
Include a message similar to: I’m celebrating #HuntforHappiness Week and this story about (something describing what’s going on that positively impacts your community or about that special person who is making a positive difference) made me smile. Do you have a positive local story to share?
- Make a 2016 Bucket List – Limit it to 10 things you really think you can accomplish this year.
Share it with you community and ours on social media using the #HuntForHappiness hashtag. Write it out as a list or post a selfie with you holding your 2016 Bucket List!
- Call a friend or relative you haven’t spoken to recently to catch up.
BONUS ACTIVITY: Play Happy I-Spy. When you see someone having a happy moment (it can be friend, family or stranger) either hand them a Happy I-Spy Certificate that you printed or send via text, email or post on their social media page the electronic version or tweet the twitter version.
